Dear River family,

Over the past few months, our team has worked diligently in redefining the vision and mission for our River Children’s Ministry. It is without a doubt that we want to make Jesus Christ the central focus of each experience your child has while with us. We love the children of our church and desire that they come to know Jesus as their Savior.

In the coming weeks, you may begin to notice a few things that are changing because of our work in defining who we are as a children’s ministry. For starters, you will begin to see terminology change between the age divisions (i.e. FUSE JR, FUSE, FUSION, and GRAPPLE). Instead, we will now be using the title River Kids. We have come to understand that many folks who enter our church may not quickly understand the difference between FUSE JR. and FUSE.

Desiring to not make guests feel more of an outsider, we want to bring simplicity to our lingo and call our preschool, elementary, middle school and special needs ministry a term that most understand. With this, it is our desire to clarify and give many an opportunity to quickly identify where their children should attend during their time in our care. In addition, we will introduce a new logo for River Kids that will bring preschool, elementary, middle schoolers and special needs under one name.

Our children’s ministry team desires to connect with our River families and is looking forward to seeing how we can best serve you over time. Please do not hesitate to share with us your concerns as we work together over the coming months in bringing before you the redefined vision that the Lord has lead us through.
