Winter Midweek Session
Our next midweek session starts on Wednesday, January 22! There will be a handful of classes to choose from, all starting at 6p. Childcare will be provided for 4th grade and under. GREATER
The Women's Ministry will be hosting an evening designed especially for girls in grades 2-12 and their moms or mentors! Greater will take place on Friday, March 7 from 5:30-9:30p. It will be a terrific opportunity to gather together at The River for an evening of fun, worship, and community. The cost is $15 per participant. Register by February 23 at signup.therivercc.com.

55+ Ministry Monthly Gathering
The River 55+ ministry will be meeting on March 10 at 6p for our monthly potluck gathering. It will be a great time of food, fun, and fellowship! Middle School Kids Egg-stravaganza Quarterly Event
Middle Schoolers, this event is for you! Join us April 5 as we serve our community!
We will meet at The River at 4p to stuff eggs for Easter Jam, our upcoming community egg hunt. Plus pizza, snacks, group games, and much more! This is an event for Middle School families! If you would like to serve together as a family, please register each person in your group. Please note: younger siblings CANNOT participate without a parent onsite.

Easter Jam
We’re hosting an event for your family to experience together, where you’ll sing songs, play fun games, laugh until your sides hurt, and hear the Easter story told in a way that engages every age. We truly cannot wait to experience Easter Jam with you!

Be the Church Day
Plan to join us as we “Be The Church” in our community on our annual BTC Day on Saturday, May 3. We will be sending groups out all over the Upper Cumberland to serve hands-on to non-profits, widows, local parks, and more. There are opportunities for every skill level and for life groups to serve together. More details to come!
2025 Graduate Recognition
There will be a recognition honoring graduating high school seniors at The River on Sunday, May 4, from 4-6p in the West Wing Auditorium. More details coming soon!

Gathering Meet + Greet
College Students & Young Adults! Looking for a place to build community and discover your God given-purpose? Our College & Young Adult ministry, The Gathering, is designed to help you grow in those areas. We are kicking off our winter/spring semester this Tuesday night with free dinner @ 6:15 and a worship service @ 7:00pm. If you are 18-25 you are invited to come and participate in what God is doing through The Gathering.
Also, on January 19 after the 9:30 and 11:15 services we will have a meet-n-greet in Conference Room C + D where you can meet some Gathering leadership & staff.

Christmas Eve Services
This Christmas season, The River invites you to our special Christmas Eve candlelight services on December 24 at 2:30p and 4p. Please note that there will be no children's programming during the Christmas Eve and Sunday, December 29 services. The church office will be closed from December 24 through January 1. We hope you’ll gather your family and celebrate the holiday season with us!
Holly Jolly Middle School Quarterly Event
Holly Jolly Christmas Quarterly will be on Friday, December 13th from 6-10p for students in 5-8th grade! We will provide supper, celebrate the reason for the season, and cap the night with fun activities and a movie! They are also welcome (and encouraged!) to join us in wearing favorite Christmas PJs, fun Christmas sweaters, etc.! Go all out…there may be a prize for best Christmas attire! River Family Meeting
We’ve scheduled a brief Q&A session on Wednesday, November 27, at 5:30p in the main auditorium. During this time, we’ll address pre-submitted questions as well as those asked in person, as time allows. Church members will vote on the budget’s approval during each service on Sunday morning, December 1.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend our family meeting. However, only those that have completed River 101 and signed the Membership Covenant will be eligible to cast a ballot on the 2025 Budget approval.
Thanksgiving Worship + Baptism Night

CENTERED | Daytreat
Feeling tired, burnt out, or overwhelmed? Regardless of whether you’re 18 or 80, we invite you to join us at Daytreat—a one-day retreat crafted for women on Saturday, October 26th. The essence of Daytreat lies in uniting women of every age and life stage, providing a day to step back from the chaos and reconnect with the only true source of peace. Middle School Family Fall Quarterly - Pumpkin Patch
Saturday, October 19th at Amazin' Acres in Sparta! This is a family event (no drop-offs) and will run 1-6p. You are welcome to come anytime that works best for your family during that time frame. Around 5p, we will all gather together to eat pizza and roast marshmallows/make s'mores at the picnic tables/fire pit in the back. This event does require registering by 10/16 at signup.therivercc.com.
55+ Monthly Gathering
The 55+ Potluck/Hillbilly Dress-Up Night will be on Monday, October 14th at 6p. The potluck dinner theme is country cooking. The best male and female hillbilly costume will win a prize. Married Couples Date Night
The River's Marriage Ministry Presents: "Famous Couples Date Nite Event"! Married couples are invited to dress up as a famous couple from history, real or fiction, and join us September 14th from 6-8 P.M. at The Monarch in Baxter, TN for a night of dinner, dancing, and laughter. There will be prizes for best dressed and most recognizable couples.

Man Camp 2024
You don’t want to miss this weekend experience where boys ages 7-18 are paired with their fathers or mentors to be trained in Biblical manhood. Mentors are available for all boys who attend. Fall Re|engage Class
Life is meant to be shared. Joining this group is a great way for married couples to reconnect, reignite, or resurrect their marriage. This is a 15-week process that starts Thursday, August 8th. Each week begins at 6p in a Large Group setting and then moves into Small Groups for discussion of the week's homework. It is imperative that you attend the first night and make every effort to attend every week. Spots are limited, register at signup.therivercc.com!
Middle School Move-Up Social
All rising 5th graders and their families are invited to join the middle school team at 2p on Sunday, August 4th for an ice cream social on the 2nd floor of the West Wing (River Kids’ side). This is a chance for your student to get comfortable in the new space, meet some of our leaders, and see a little bit of what we do each week.
